It sucks and I don’t really want to think about it, but 11 years is a dam good life for a dog. I know one day we’ll both be able to go play fetch up at the playground again.
Post doges :)

Don’t worry too much about the future. What it will bring, it will bring. Till then just enjoy every moment.
If there is anything you’ve wanted to do, if you can (physically and financially), go do it.

Our big dog is nine. She's starting to show her age. By the way, my foot is under there. This was taken after I had been out of town for a couple of weeks. She plopped down on my feet and refused to move. Gotta love dogs!

Your lab looks a lot like my first lab. He passed away after 11 faithful years.

Yeah I never want to think about it, but I did have a Lab that was 14 growing up! I have a bulldog now, I’ve seen a huge range of lifespan on them so I have no idea, we just try to keep them healthy and limit the things that can hurt hips ect...

A tribute to dogs gone by. This was Fusse. Lab/Collie/Airdale. Strange looks-happy farm dog that made it 15 years.
Sorry for you loss.
